I put this together because there is an insane amount of steps in getting to the right file structure involving stupid file formats like rar. There are 2 downloads. One is a 'ready-to-copy' download that you can just copy everything found in the "files" folder to the root of your USB drive. The other is a downloader that downloads all the external files from the internet and puts them on your target USB drive after setting up the right file structure.
 
Version 1.0.1 (3/28/2025)

Changes:

  • Now includes a build of Simple 360 Nand Flasher v1.5b (latest commit as of 3/27/2025) using the new Read Only target. The Read Only builds do not allow writing to the NAND, only dumping of it. This is specifically for BadUpdate consoles that can't write to NAND without bricking.

Added the ability to use XeUnshackle or FreeMyXe.

XeUnshackled sets Aurora as your default launcher.

Added HDD Compat Partition Fixer (for original Xbox backwards compatibility) v1.

Added Hacked Compatibility Files (for original Xbox backwards compatibility) 12-09-2019.

Added Xell-Reloaded v0.993. This is setup on the FreeMyXe editions to allow it to be loaded immedietly after exploit as an option (rather then the stock NXE dashboard). On the XeUnshacked editions, Xell-Reloaded is at apps\xell-reloaded-v0.993. Note: Xell-Reloaded does not work on Xbox 360 E Winchester (it loads to a black screen, with no recourse other then to reboot the console and not use it when asked by FreeMyXe) so don't bother yet until this issue is addressed if your on an Xbox 360 E Winchester. Every other console revision works fine.

Improved folder name conventions in apps folder.

Downloader is more verbose on what it is doing.

Creates a backup folder that you can place your important files (such as NAND flash backup, cpu key txt, etc.).

The important thing to me about this is it is creating said USB setup from scratch. The https://github.com/alex-free/360-hack-pack/blob/master/360hp script is being abused to make the 'ready-to-copy' downloads. That provides a way to have a ~kb script create your USB drive with an internet connection, and or create the 'ready-to-copy' downloads that I like so much due to simplicity. I patch launch.ini, I don't provide an edited version specifically for future proofing. This is the best way I can think of to keep my setup up to date so easily

HAPPY FRIDAY! - Version 1.0.3 (8/8/2025)

GAME CHANGING UPDATE. The BadUpdate v1.2 Update is insane. 1st try, exploited in seconds. If BadUpdate was too unreliable for you before and you don't have an RGH console (or you have an un-RGHable Winchester) give this a go.

Changes:

  • Updated BadUpdate to v1.2. This has some serious success rate improvements compared to the previous releases of BadUpdate with noticable results.
  • Xell Reloaded for Winchester (a build I have created with the updated LibXennon toolchain that is now Winchester compatible, see this thread) is now available. To start it on your console, launch apps\xell-reloaded-v0.993-d4f08b4-winchester\default.xex with Aurora file manager or XeXMenu. This uses Xell Launch to bring up Xell Reloaded. Note that this is labeled specifically 'for Winchesters' because there is a report that it does not work on at least a Jasper v3. As I only have a Winchester at the moment, I can't debug anything for other consoles. However I can confirm the last official Xell Reloaded release works for consoles older then the Winchester model. If you want to use Xell Reloaded on a console older then the Winchester, start apps\xell-reloaded-v0.993.
  • Substantial improvements to build and 360hp scripts. 360hp script now works again on Fedora Linux. The unrar command is now used once again to extract all downloaded rar files in download mode, since Fedora has the insanity to remove rar support from p7zip (but still allow the GUI Gnome desktop shipped with official ISOs to support extracting them).
 
I always said how "360 hack pack is more then just some assembled zip file" and how it uses a dynamic, smart, easy to up date logic to keep it up to date with the constantly moving Xbox 360 scene, and that is still true.

I have been going through a lot IRL, but who cares about that when I finally have a release to drop?? And if your a dev you know dropping a release is the best thing to take your mind off of IRL. So here it is:

  • Patch Aurora.xex/make it boot automatically after FreeMyXe. This already works for XeUnShackle, but I need to integrate actually patching of the Aurora before making the zip file for FreeMyXe to auto-launch after exploit.
  • Implement Dashboard exploit/HDD avatar exploit.
  • More options for original Xbox compatibility included by default.
  • ?? You tell me. I've been very happy with this. All my games from Fallout 3+GOTY DLC to GTA V have worked since pretty much the begining.


I don't know what the drama is with consolemodswiki, but this is the original hack pack for 360, I've kept my effort updating it, and have remained unbiased in the best soft-mod. I give you both options, you find out for yourself what you like better (FreeMyXe or XeUnshackle). I've had zero issues with either since March when I started this project, and offer both... I use xeunshackle as of now.

Changes:

  • Replaced BadUpdate with ABadAvatar. Thanks @Lost-Entrepreneur439 for finally pushing me to add it.
  • Removed Rock Band Blitz demo since this is no longer needed. Just turn on the console and wait at the sign-in screen on boot doing nothing until the exploit triggers. This will also massively save space on the 'ready to copy' releases of 360 hack pack. Literally easist exploit every completely automatic at this point.
  • Changed download links from digiex to archive.org equievelents, since they are faster and more reliable.
  • Small fixes to 360hp and build system.
