PS3 Youtube Plugin not working (Movian)

The title says it all, i have been trying to use the youtube plugin that can be installed within
Movian, to no avail.

I have an older Version that came with MultiMan AND i tried the newest movian-5.0.709-deank-playstation3 version i got from brewology.com, in both cases the Vimeo Plugin works perfectly but the youtube plugin always throws the same message (this is the example when trying to browse categories):

Unable to open resource
youtube:categories
Error: Request failed: badRequest

(when trying to search youtube for <searchTerm> the second line changes to: youtube:search:<searchTerm>)

Does anyone know how this could possibly be resolved?
i really like Movian so far and i would love to use the youtube plugin if at all possible

there is a youtube app for ps3. use the "nopsn" one so you dont have to login to psn to use youtube. the nopsn site is down but there are mirrors around. may be a newer build in the nopsn threads on psx-place somewhere.
 
Yeah the plugin gave me crap as well, but tbh you'd be better off using the NoPSN YouTube App. All it is the the standard YT app but has had PSN Login patched out of it.

i saw that but i want to browse youtube without linking my google account (if that is possible)
as for the nopsn stuff, the site is indeed down and i can't find anything here, are there any known mirrors for that site?

To all of you, thanks very much for taking the time, it seems the nopsn version is the way to go for me,
if i could just get my hands on an up-to-date .pkg that will hopefully solve everything for me ;-)

you can indeed browse youtube on it without linking an account no problem with the app is that most videos are locked to 720p max even if the video is 1080p 60 and your network can handle it the app will not do anything more than 720p

i gotta say homebrew ps3 stuff entails downloading a lot of pkgs without verifying signatures
or checksums ... kinda scary :-D

just downloading stuff from random sites and installing them is sooo windows ^_^
