Are you sure the capacitor didn't short out? I'm not super familiar with the PS3 pinouts/schematic, but given it's right next the to CPU, seems like a likely cause. I wouldn't know the size of the capacitor to tell you what to get.

I am trying to use "tmp get 0" or tmp get 1" and all I get is "Invalid Argument"... What does that mean? When I use "duty get 0" or "duty get 1" it works just fine. My guess is that it has to do something with the 0 or the 1 but idk ------------merged post ------- Nevermind, RIP-Felix...

The trp setting, from what I understand, causes a warning to pop up on the screen that says the system is getting hot. Furthermore, the setting also causes the fan to run at 100% duty cycle. Has anyone else experienced the fan kicking up to 100% when the trp value is reached? If so, my theory...
