well, you have the answer in your question. If you want to play online: update. If you want to keep yout chances to JB one day: don't update! Personnaly, I would wait and buy second hand games and play offline.

I finally updated my 7.02 PS4 to 9.00 after hesitating for all this time. I was fed up with random crashes and sometimes it would take ages to jailbreak. So far after one week of use, no regrets, much more stable than 7.02, easy JB, no crash... Good job to the team!

I tried 2TB partitions, 1TB partitions, exFAT, NTFS, in NBR, GPT, different cluster sizes, tried with webman, multiman, managunz... It could also be brand related, I finally gave up!

yes I got that, but it was not the idea to set up a network in this specific case. I only have a laptop and the PS3 should be easily moved to some place without bringing the laptop. Maybe there will be some improvements done in future, who knows. Thanks anyway to you all and to the devs that are...

OK I'm giving up, no matter what I tried it did not work. The HDD switches off by itself after some minutes, so I guess the PS does not recognize it at all and then the HDD goes is rest mode. I have tried all the given options above, I have tried several partitions with different cluster sizes...

at least I can say that ManaGunZ works with a HDD in exFAT format (another HDD that I have but this one is 1TB). I'll dig more tomorrow to see if I can make it work with the 4TB in exFAT (I did a quick test and it was a failure).

It does not work with ManaGunZ either... if I plug my other old HDD, then ManaGunz finds the games directly, but nothing happens with the Toshiba. Does the HDD need to be in a specific NTFS setting to be recognized then?

Hi all, I just got myself a new 4tb external HDD for my PS3 (Rebug 4.85 with webman mod). But webman mod does not recognize the HDD. I also tried to refresh the USB with webman but no success. I have tried to re-format in NTFS, make partitions lower than 1tb if it would be size related. Does...

wow what a news! It looks like it's easy, stable and straight forward to JB! I am on 7.02 and though it works within a minute, sometimes it crashes two times in a row and then it takes 5mn to JB. Once I'll have more user feedbacks on stability etc, I might switch to 9.00 :)
