    PS3 4.93 Evilnat w/ Cobra v8.5 - (CEX/PEX/D-PEX)

I feel like at a certain point we need additional version numbers to differentiate between the 3 versions released so far. Someone might not notice they are on an old version, since the version numbers is the same. Like 4.93.1.3 currently

PS3 Project RSX Boost: Overclock your Retail PS3 RSX Speeds (ps3 cfw only)

The Cell has been heavily underclocked in the shipping console. IBM reportedly had samples running 5.6GHz in the lab. 3.2 GHz with one disabled SPE was simply a way to get yields up and reduce costs. Like so many decisions in the early PS3s life. Do everything to get the production costs go...

    PS3 4.93 Evilnat w/ Cobra v8.5 - (CEX/PEX/D-PEX)

Not really complaining, just something i found weird. I need to look into that, initially i thought the new firmware was unstable. But that definitely wasn’t the case after i backed down from the OC. Maybe my console needs a repaste.

    PS3 4.93 Evilnat w/ Cobra v8.5 - (CEX/PEX/D-PEX)

Something i found really interesting. The OC margin seems to be reduced considerably on the new firmware for me. I could do 800/975 before the update fine. Now i get crashes if i go over 750/900

I don't know, i had it done. I didn't do it myself. So final frequencies are 800/975

Sounds like we kinda found the design limit of the chip, regarded of manufacturing.

The 28nm RSX uses GDDR5 memory so i guess the code for setting the speed there is going to be different. Setting the GDDR5 to 1000 would be equivalent to double the clock vs GDDR3.

PS3 Error mounting PSX ISOs from external disk in exFAT

I already did 1 and to 2. i don’t use MultiMan or MultiMan Mod. A different drive is the last thing i could try, but I honestly just solved it by moving all the PS1 games to the internal drive. They aren’t that big (around 67GB for my 130 games) and it circumvents the problem completely. The...

PS3 Error mounting PSX ISOs from external disk in exFAT

My drive is completely exFAT. If those files are for NTFS drives only I don’t know where they are coming from. Thanks for confirming that. I was getting rather frustrated here.

PS3 Error mounting PSX ISOs from external disk in exFAT

What do you mean "NTFS" files? The entire drive is formatted in exFAT, always has been. The hard link files webMan Mod creates with PrepISO always end in NTFS, regardless of the actual file system. I guess thats just how its coded. It says right there in the picture you linked that it supports...
