Some games don't work in ISO format, so I converted them to folders. My PS3 cannot see them, though!

Hello all! I have a launch fat Evilnat 4.88 PS3 with a 5tb exFAT drive plugged into the 3rd USB port. Most of my PS3 ISOs work just fine. However, I had the following issues with the following games: Back to the Future The Game [BLES01596] - Game gets stuck at initial loading screen with the...

PS3 Finally scored some 1.5tb drives

Are there any 1.5TB SSDs that work in the PS3? Also if I wanted to upgrade my 1tb to the 1.5tb, could I just image the old drive to the new one? Or would that not work because no imaging program is going to be able to read a PS3 drive?

I am getting an error message when trying to load PS1 ISOs (pic included)

I am also getting something similar with PS2 ISOs. If I click a PS2 iso, it says it's transferring to \PS2ISO But I sit there forever and it never shows up in the XMB.

    PS3 4.88.2 Evilnat Cobra (8.3) Custom FirmWare (CFW-CEX) Released

I have some PS3 games in the folder format under /GAMES/. This is mostly for games that don't work in ISO format. So for example I have "GAMES\Max Payne 3 [BLES00942]" However, games in this format do not show up in the XMB with WebManMod. Is it because the drive is exFAT? It's seeing the ISOs...

I am getting an error message when trying to load PS1 ISOs (pic included)

So just to verify, there is no way to play PS1 games from an external exFAT drive, even though PS3 games work just fine? This coupled with PS2 ISOs not working from an external drive pretty much makes me feel like I totally wasted my time and money getting a fully BC PS3.

I am getting an error message when trying to load PS1 ISOs (pic included)

I would have used fat32 but doing that has a lot of issues with 5tb drives that I could not fix. The PS3 would pretty much never load my drive with that. NTFS had similar problems, where my PS3 games would flat-out not mount. Now with exFAT, my PS3 games work just fine, but PS1 games refuse...

    PS3 4.88.2 Evilnat Cobra (8.3) Custom FirmWare (CFW-CEX) Released

My PS1 ISOs fail to mount in Evilnat 4.88.2. They are in the correct bin/cue format in folders under PSXISO. The only thing I can think of is maybe Cobra isn't enabled? How do I enable it though? I tried the Rebug software but it said it would not work since it's not a Rebug CFW. Is there a...

I am getting an error message when trying to load PS1 ISOs (pic included)

Also is there any way to install PSN PKGs to the exFAT drive? My internal drive is getting low and it's the 1TB max so it's not even like I can upgrade it.

I am getting an error message when trying to load PS1 ISOs (pic included)

Ok so it's 100% confirmed PS1 games cannot be loaded from an exFAT drive ?

I am getting an error message when trying to load PS1 ISOs (pic included)

Wait so if I get a USB hub, and plug it into the 3rd USB port, I can have 3 different hard drives plugged in? One for PS1 games, one for PS2 games, and one for PS3 games? And it would solve the issue I am currently having with PS1 games not mounting?

I am getting an error message when trying to load PS1 ISOs (pic included)

So I tried all of the above and unfortunately it still isn't working. I suppose I could try a different hard drive on a different USB port but that seems like a shame because everything is finally working with this exFAT drive (at least PS3 games are, which took me forever to get working...

PS3 Trying to figure out what HDD format is better

Thanks a lot. Is there any way to ever get this to work with PS2 ISOs? My PS3 is fully BC.

I am getting an error message when trying to load PS1 ISOs (pic included)

Hi, I am on 4.88.2 Evilnat CFW on my launch fully BC 60GB (upgraded to 1tb internal). I have an external 5tb USB portable Western Digital drive plugged into the 2nd from the last USB port and the drive is formatted to exFAT with all my PS3 isos on it, which load up in WebManMod just fine...

PS3 Trying to figure out what HDD format is better

It's definitely the size of the drive. I tried NTFS as MBR and it's giving me the issue. FAT32 works fine, but I want to use my 5TB drive. What's the thing you are talking about with NAS?

PS3 Trying to figure out what HDD format is better

Definitely not a bad dump because it works just fine when the hard drive is in FAT32.
