whaou!! it seems you are lucky!! the uptime is very good, this ps3 has been sed few times. And your temps in a room where it's 38°C are very good. We could guess the thermal paste is dry but for now, it makes its work because temps are not so high.
Of course, the best thing to do is to go...
I should upgrade to from 4.86 ferrox..
If you don't have special needs (like debug mode) cex is fine, if you need more but you haven't a dex unit, pex
this answer from aldostools should help:

I would like to know too!
I never change paste of my slim and I stay worry about lifespan. I'm not sure adding thermal pads isd recommended but it could be a good idea. Once a year I open the cover and gently suck it with a vaccum cleaner with litlle brush adapter. It's erally clean as new...
yeah, great job and thanks for stressing games..I was talking about the last of us, for a quick stress with the beginning of the game. effectively, if you have time, much better to push it on a "long" time with crysis, crysis 2 or uncharted 3.
sorry for the mystakes, my bad.
I don't know why it doesn't work for you, you tried everything good. it's strange. do you know if this ps3 hs been already jailbreaked?
seriously? read again the procedure from sony (no folder ps3 needed). say hello could help too ;-)
and I don't know, but check if 4.90 is better than 4.60 for jailbreak...
Yeah it's nice (and after 1h30 of TLOU, it works great), but I can't help you to know if there is paste below the lid, wait for a specialist as LuanTeles said. and I don't see 8°C difference in your temps, but more something between 4 and 5 ;-)
Hi, there are ^plenty of threads with good info and "good" temperatures, you should find it.
For me, your temp are really nice, the thermal paste replaecment has been well done ;-)
which one did you use?
and you can test by launching the last of us to push it and check ...
I think the hole difference is not so important, but it's ok you won few degrees and less loud fan, it's pretty cool! I should do the hole thing to avoid the "too noisy" fan...
adn do you have the temp before the change of thermal paste?
