    PS2 Faulty disc drive/controller/fuse on fat PS2?

The connector where that driver gear board is sitting is fine, I assume. So possibly the ic that went bad. All the other fuses ok (tracking, sled fuse ok?) Can refer to this to make it easier (and for those looking for solutions)

    PS2 Faulty disc drive/controller/fuse on fat PS2?

Hey, your best bet would be to pull a drive from another 5000-series PS2(preferably dead if possible). Second hand shops or pawn dealers(people who take your goods for lending/exchanging cash) can offer these to you at a discounted rate or for free if they're generous enough.

    PS2 SCPH-39004 PS2 FAT Strange DISC issue

Hi all, Have a PS2 39004 that I revived having found a blown 3v fuse (one of the modchip wires possibly touched the heatsink or ground. I uninstalled the modchip once and attempted to load original games and dvd video. It has this strange glitching sound as it boots and reads discs...

PS VITA / PsTV Change PS Vita boot logo

Downgrading to 3.60 will give you FULL stock firmware unless you asked for enso to be installed via vitadeploy. Why the console would brick has to do with the sizing of the bootlogo and other factors(please refer to skgleba as he is more knowledgeable). You can run his enso_ex and select the...

    PS2 [MX4SIO/SIO2SD] SD Card Adapter and SD-driver for the PS2 SIO2 interface

Hi @MetalMonkey , I've built one (soldering adapter to ps2 mc board) for a 90004 PAL PS2 slim. Works fine in slot 2 using OPL 1.2.0 beta (1875 as of present). It doesn't pull heavy loads. it's just needed for pull up(ack). see pin 8 on the photo. 3 and 6 on the adapter are VSS( AKA GND/ground)...

PS3 Can this CELL Processor be patched after botched delid?

Hi all, warm greetings to @ElGris and @sandungas Long time no see. Here's the cpu/CELL under a microscope: For reference, the key being BE MONTBLANC is the area where I scratched it (in the bottom left). No Barlow lens here, so I propped it on a box small enough to fit under it. Not sure if I...

PS3 Can this CELL Processor be patched after botched delid?

I've seen a trace before on 360 that was "patched" with the same enameled wire- just needed to burn it with the soldering iron tip as you mentioned so solder can stick to it. how @ElGris has made it simple is exciting. The 5th picture (the one with the soldered wire to the lines/traces)...
