psnpatch was developed and tested ONLY in CEX. Syscalls disabling does NOT work in DEX the same way as in CEX. I do not recommend going online with a DEX system.

you just have to reinstall rebug trough the recovery menu. follow the instrutions to install a cfw trough the recovery menu, after being in the recovery menu, and start updating firmware, everything is reset. No more hangs. take care about enable cobra in the cfw before installing psnpatch.

If it freezes in recovery, it is a problem of your ps3 hardware or the cfw you are using. I suggest you to place the question in your cfw support thread.
