Hi guys, I bought a PS3 that doesn't read discs anymore a CECHKO4 model with CFW installed (don't remember the versione because i installed OFW) because I wanted to try to fix it. So I bought another PS3, model CECHL04, (still had the warranty seal) with YLOD (non-backward compatible) to use its...
Hi @kadorna2 it's been a while. I replaced the lens of the ps3 but the disc still spins but doesn't get read. at this point I've ran out of ideas :( what do you think?
Thanks @kadorna2 for the replies
Can i ask what's the limiter switch?
The PS3 picks up discs and the light turns on so i think that It recognizes the disk Is inserted?

So i...

So if the daughterboard Is dead It won't even let me launch any installed games from the main menu?
@kadorna2 the fact Is that i can't test It because the Logic...
Hi guys, I bought a PS3 with a non-working Blu-ray drive, a CECHKO4 model, because I wanted to try to fix it. So I bought another PS3, model CECHL04, (still had the warranty seal) with YLOD (non-backward compatible) to use its Blu-ray drive as a replacement. I replaced it using the logic board...

What do you think Is the problem?
The disk spins and never stops so It can't be the lens right?
