Hi guys, I bought a PS3 that doesn't read discs anymore a CECHKO4 model with CFW installed (don't remember the versione because i installed OFW) because I wanted to try to fix it. So I bought another PS3, model CECHL04, (still had the warranty seal) with YLOD (non-backward compatible) to use its Blu-ray drive as a replacement. I replaced it using the logic board from the PS3 with the non-working drive, but despite this, the PS3 still won't read discs. I asked in the "starting line" and they told me to verify of It was the a fault BD drive's daughterboard and i excluded the Logic board because the PS3 updated to OFW flawlessly i also tried to replace the lens of the drive: that didn't work either.
As a last resort i even tried to test the lens motors and that also worked just fine.
At this point l'm totally clueless i don't know what to do i think at this point Is a issue with the motherboard did anyone have the same experience? Can you guys help me?
Before anyone asks YES i did replace the new drive's daughterboard with the original One from the CECHK04.

Yeah but i used the old blu ray drive's daughterboard onto the new One.
but regardless i also tried the old drive with new lens and still didn't work

I've Heard that you can use syscon also for this type of issues Is that true?
