As the title says, what is the difference between a PS3 CECHC01 and a CECHL01? I mean the C model emulates PS2 games via SW which the CECHL01 for example also can by installing a CFW. So why did Sony remove this SW based feature in newer PS3 models?

When I upgraded the HDD in one of my PS3's I actually found out that you have to reinstall it. However, as @NiQ said, you can just install the CFW right away without HFW/exploit etc. Keep in mind that Homebrews and so on are gone though.

I I get that on pretty much any PS3 fat, seems normal. However, I wouldn't let it get over 70 degrees celsius.

How exactly does the MC Adapter work then? Why do saves transfer so easily over the adapter? Is there some kinda security measure?
