As the title says, what is the difference between a PS3 CECHC01 and a CECHL01? I mean the C model emulates PS2 games via SW which the CECHL01 for example also can by installing a CFW. So why did Sony remove this SW based feature in newer PS3 models?
When I upgraded the HDD in one of my PS3's I actually found out that you have to reinstall it. However, as @NiQ said, you can just install the CFW right away without HFW/exploit etc.
Keep in mind that Homebrews and so on are gone though.
So I finally managed to downgrade a CECHL04 PS3 to FW 2.50, whcih was really hard to do somehow. Mainly because of the old XMB, boot/splash screens & OtherOS. Now I'm wondering if there's any way to install packages or generally Homebrews on FW 2.50 without updating? All I found so far is that...
