Where I live, 5400rpm hdd's are, for some reason, more expensive than the former…

As long as it is an HDD, everything is OK. 7200 RPM are faster, but run hotter and could make some noise. In my opinion, those are the best options for the PS3 as HDD heat is negligible and the CPU fan is way louder than any platter spinning at 7200.
