PS3 20 degrees C between RSX and CPU

Hi guys, so I have SlimCECH2004b (the 65nm one) and my cpu is running really hot. RSX tops out at about 50 C while cpu will keep climbing until auto fan kicks in at about 70 C. This all happens after i cleaned and repasted my ps3 and set fan to 40% in webman. So what should i do? Try delidding? Leave it and just crank fans up? Maybe I can repaste it again but RSX is doing fine, so I doubt it would help much. Anything helps, thanks for reading.

A delid is an option, can you verify that the thermal compound application was even and sound?

One thing I tried was the 'eraser trick' which fixed my overheating problem.

Thanks for the quick reply, I did check how the thermal paste was spread and it was a bit too thin. After repasting the temps were a bit lower (~68 C on CPU), but I guess I can't expect much better, it's summer after all.

My Super Slim is the opposite, Cell usually sits between 44-60°C and RSX around 70-78°C, depending on the game. I'll try repasting it some day lol
