Following up the release of 4.70 HABIB (CEX) Standard CFW a couple of weeks ago, custom firmware (CFW) developer HABIB has a new Cobra CFW that he has released to the PS3 community.. 4.70 HABIB-COBRA (Starbucks) v1.00 (CEX) CFW comes with an updated Cobra (v7.10) that has improved the Controller Sync Issues on PS2 ISO for the user's who has experienced issues on the previous fixes. Also the addition of the recently [break]ss[/break] updated PS3 Manager API (PS3M_API) Core to v1.2.0 has been applied to this firmware. Improvements to PSX Games on Cobra and a bit more can be seen in the information provided below:

Hmm, I've never used the XMB update, I always just put the one I want onto the USB and rename it then flash from recovery.
Saves me having to (or forgetting to) disable internet etc. :)

update debug allows u to store fw on the internal hdd and switch quickly. it's a part of debug level 1 or qa flagging. there's a list of how new fw updates r located. the flash drive or internal hdd is last after on disc and internet. iirc, it's located in level 2. personally, I always forced an ethernet cable to connect to the internet. plus, if u use an ethernet cable, u can transfer content to ur internal hdd much more quickly than usb or wirelessly.

I can see renaming on your hdd for your own personal use, but if your uploading for other I feel it should stay the same as all the other d/l links as it could just cause confusion
besides this build was named Starbucks by the dev that released it

I see not harm, as one should always check the MD5 anyhow so title means little to me. I bypassed using Starbucks in the title of the releases myself as i thought that added a bit of confusion. Now if it was "Starbucks 4.70 Cobra" that is one thing, but "Habib Starbucks 4.70" (i think that adds the confusion personally). Because people know what Cobra is, people do not know what Starbucks is (in terms of relation to a CFW)

I know there r some differences with rco files. once iceman and I found the icon that changed the clock color, it caused another person's clock to disappear once he tested it. he was on a higher fw though. the hex was likely in the wrong location in that event. I had also heard that waves were different based on whether it was pal or ntsc. that doesn't seem to be true. most likely a difference was due to fw as I tested that out myself. and, I've made and tested waves for people in pal locations using my ntsc lines.qrc as a base.

Isn't it an american coffee shop or something?
Screws me, I'm Australian.
Confused the hell out of me.

not just America I guess as Habib's not in or from America

With more than 21,000 stores in over 65 countries

Starbucks Coffee Australia opened the doors to its first store in July 2000 in Sydney's CBD. To date, Starbucks Australia has 24 coffee houses in Sydney, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast and Melbourne.

i thought everybody knew what Starbucks was :p

That place with over priced Coffee and shitty service. :) Dutch Bros is WAY better then Starbucks.
If you ever see one check it out. (wish there was one near me, but there is not.) I been to them alot over the years though

I believe joonie said that Habib was moving to Europe. I'm not sure where he's originally from. heh, I attacked hishamage on ps3 news for using Habib's fw and passing it off as his own. I posted photos as proof. Habib himself also joined in on the attack. I got negative rap for that. lol

Thanks Habib, keep it up the great work!!!
One question guys is safe to update this over Darknet 4.70, i know it can be done over any CFW but is better to confirm anyway!

Best regards,

can you please add starbucks as in brackets and explain?
the reason was starbucks troll :p

I take blame for that mistake there, but happens when you have to guess the full Feature set :)

All of those places are about 5000kms as the crow flies from where I normally live! (about 3000 miles going by google :))
Just moved back over east though so will look out for one.

Got a kick ass cappuccino machine at home anyway. :)
