PS3 4.70 HABIB (Standard CEX) CFW

Custom Firmware developer HABIB has released HABIB 4.70 (CEX), this is a Standard CEX-based CFW, the developer did not provide many release notes on this release. Releasing the CFW on YouTube with a short description. Which may not be the best way to release a CFW in my personal opinion (as there is sure to be questions). but nonetheless he is a talented CFW developer and we are sure the firmware is top notch [break]ss[/break].. We will do our best to fill in the gaps left with the release notes. So beware we may miss a few things and some things could be incorrect..

Some General Tips about CFW installations from psx-place.com
( Credits to Aldostools / kozarovv for some of these suggestions below )

RED = Extremely Important
GREEN = Recommended but not required

	Remove any Physical Game Disc from the PlayStation 3 Disc Drive (Otherwise the PUP (OFW) from the PS3 Disc will be installed and you will lose your jailbreak.
	Unmount actual game.This really important for example, cobra systems with webMAN, because webMAN mounts last played game on boot. If an Update folder exist in that game. It will install the official firmware
	ALWAYS verify the PUP's MD5 to be sure the file is not corrupted and in it's original state (There are some fakes out there that are OFW, so never trust a title and get the MD5 from trust sources like PSX-Place.com
	DISABLE any CFW Spoofs, before update
	[*=left]Turn off internet connections when updating CFW's.( Wifi and Ethernet cable.)
	If you do not own a HARDWARE FLASHER or have the means to recover from a possible brick. DO NOT RUSH to install a CFW / MFW Release. Allow the community to conduct test as some CFW do not get proper testing and even ones that do some models can act differently so its best to give it at least a 3 day wait. Usually brick reports happen the first 24-48 Hours.
	It's good practice to QA Flag your console. before installing a new CFW.
	Always a good idea to dump your eid_root_key (see link for additional information)
	Can be useful to take 1 or 2 dumpsof youflashafter a successful upgrade.These dumps are useful (with a hardware flasher) when Downgrading a console from an accidental OFW update and also when recovering from a Bricked console
	Backup your Game Savesand edat/rif files to a pendrive, external HDD or FTP to PC.

I'm only an hour from birmingham. Comic Con is happening this month at the NEC. Which i'm going to [MENTION=20]habib[/MENTION] , are you going to release a cobra version of 4.70? I'm still using your 4.66v1.01.

I just prefer to use webman mod for everything. I'm staying well away from the "spoofs" & I'm not sure to trust the vsh patcher. Just waiting for your cobra port lol :p

Nice one, thanks for the update, downloading but i think i'm going to stay on 466 habib cobra until he releases 470 cobra, can't live without webman mod now and don't want to always run the pxr loader, but either way great work [MENTION=20]habib[/MENTION].

This game works for ISO I ripped it last night no issues but then again I am using 4.46 Cobra. PRXLoader and the latest webMAN MOD will work for this I'm pretty darn sure.

I am 99.999999% positive [MENTION=20]habib[/MENTION] will release a cobra firmware, when it is ready. I know it is in the works. If you need a cobra firmware, darknet 4.70 cobra should drop any time now.

I've not heard anything from the man himself so I was curious. I much prefer cobra firmware (how could you not lol)

Everytime you want to change a game with another, you will need to close the System and open again.... and so on.... to play online

 

Is this a normal CFW or a version COBRA? Am I in the CFW ROGERO 4.55, it has some problem to install that one for top?
Another doubt. I tested the CFW in the PS3 PUP Check and the next message appeared:Unknown PUP:Google the MD5 to double check its authenticity.

 

This one is Non-Cobra build, you can also use cobra build if you want. You don't need dongle for that. You can install this CFW from xmb on rogero, but remember to unmount game, disconnect internet, remove disc before update. Or you finish with ofw. Also you don't need to use Pup check, just install some md5 calculator (hashtab is nice and integrated with propeties tab on windows) and verify that MD5 match this from Psx-Place site. In this case: 5378136B0115D089F817CC81261B228E

 

I'm afraid you install this CFW. Where is the 4.66 please? I'll wait this 4.70 mature a little more.
