PS3 4.76.1 REBUG LITE w/ COBRA v7.1

A new CFW release comes from Team REBUG as they officially release 4.76 REBUG LITE that comes equipped with Cobra v7.1 features. This release differs from many rebug releases as it will not contain any DEX features and will not have access to some REBUG features, but with Cobra v7.1 you get many great CEX based features so if you are not looking at all those features but want a reliable CFW then this latest REBUG CFW could be that fit. yes i was able to get on, update the psstore, and also entering the psstore..

but after downloading the metal gear online data, the data seems cant be used (mgs5 doesnt recognize that i have downloaded the data)..but i guess this is CFW unrelated

Same thing. I'm not sure about why that is either.

psn version or no?

sorry what do u mean by psn version or no?
we are using CFW 4.76 rebug, multiman, and psnpatch to play online..and then updated the game according to its latest patch 1.04, and then downloaded the online game data from psstore, but the game couldnt recognize the online game data, keep asking us to download the online game data again..hope this answers your question..

cheers

I'm having an issue. I use multiple hdd. I've install rebug to a drive with all of my cod maps. Its only so big so I only put cod maps. I have a 1 tb drive that use for all my other games. Well that drive is on habibs 4.75 and when ever I boot it I get install 4.76. I try to install 4.76 rebug and I get no applicable software found. I've tried 2 diff hdd, both at lower fw with the same results. I've tried both 4.76 rebug and 4.76 ferrox on 2 diff usb sticks. nada.
Then I put my orig cod hdd with rebug 4.76 and it boots fine.

I even checked the update pups in the system update on the xmb....it sees the pups fine.
I've always updated my drives this way. anyone see this before? or have any suggestions..:/

maybe recovery mode issue...have to wait to check

So you're sure the system reads the pups? They are located in *USB ROOT*/PS3/UPDATE/ and ads named PS3UPDAT.PUP ? Also, have you tried installing in recovery mode?

The system displays the name of the pups when I select update from a usb device. I'm not going to try to reinstall over my only operating hdd.
Recovery gave me the same result.

ok now this patch.....

Recovery: Prevent accidental OFW update while on Recovery mode

Is it not recovery mode that your using when you reinstalling your firmware to a new hdd?

The on screen messages are exactly the same if I try from recovery or by just swapping in the old f/w drive.

Is it possible this patch is preventing me from reinstalling the f/w?

----------------------------
Ok I got it.
only after I unplugged the controller after I press select + start.
I'm thinking usb issue

In the rebug toolbox?
Edit: a simple deletion and reinstallation of the store solved my problem.
I was wondering when reading your post.
Is the PS Store app idps/psid dependent like DLCs?
What happens if you install/update it using one set of ids & launch it spoofing another set?

I have never tried that tbh. Just be on the safe side and delete it, then install on spoofed ids.
Or check in the hdd somewhere, I forget exactly where, but see if there's reps and rifs and what not for the psn store.

is there a way to enable vsh menu to load every boot not just via webman settings?
and just out of curiosity is there a way to add plugins to the menu? say PSNpatch, would rather have it via menu and not button combo's. sorry if off topic.

You can load vsh menu every time adding wm_vsh_menu.sprx to /dev_hdd0/boot_plugins.txt

What specific combos do you mean? Sorry but I don't know much about PSNpatch.

there is some button combo you can press to disable the PSNpatch if you have the pluging enabled at boit. (dusables all syscalls at biot) I believe.
