same

I'm getting the same exact message. Using this firmware and the latest Multiman and when I try Black Ops 3 it tells me that my firmware is 4.75 and asks if I want to patch the game to match my firmware. I'm also curious if theres a way to disable Cobra or at least force Multiman to start up in standard CFW mode instead of Cobra.

You can switch mmCM to multiman in setting, you can also select patch option then game should run fine. Same problem is on rebug so i think is multiman problem. Also game should run fine from webman.

Thanks for getting back and I did assume I'd be able to patch the game but I prefer not to at this time. Also, I know I can switch from mmCM to Multiman mode within Multiman's settings but it defaults to mmCM mode (cobra) which just adds an extra step for me. I wish it either defaulted to standard CFW mode or at least gave us a choice to default to it. Maybe in the next version of Multiman. Also, anyone know if Habib has any plans of making a vanilla 4.76 CFW for those of us that don't need Cobra?

Also, worth mentioning, I just ran Black Ops 3 without patching the game. When it asked me to patch, I pressed circle to back out of the screen. It dumped me into XMB and I selected BO3 which then updated to 1.02 and started right up. So the request to patch to 4.75 is either a glitch in Multiman or Habib CFW but the game clearly recognizes that the system is on 4.76

I think is multiman bug, anyway you can disable cobra using webman, irisman, or gamesonic manager. I don't think there will be non cobra habib 4.76 cfw, look at changelog. Non cobra is not needed.

And question that i always ask in situation like this. Why you prefer non cobra?

For some reason, my PS2 games won't show up in the retro column when I'm in Cobra mode.

Also, If I choose a PS3 game to play, then quit the game, go back into Multiman to choose another one, the first game is still listed when I return to the XMB?

All first world problems, I know, but the way my PS3 is set up, I've NEVER had a problem until Cobra was thrown into the mix. I just think it would be nice if Multiman gave the option to toggle it off or at least set it so Standard CFW was selected by default on launch.

Multiman don't support (and probably never be) for toggling cobra. You can do this using other apps/plugins. BTW. Are you tried webman? PS2, PS3 everything will be sorted in XMB under games subcategory. Is one of best cobra additions.

Anyway you can always disable cobra or install ferrox non cobra if you want.

Thats one of the things I was wondering, if cobra can be disabled. Is it simple or a lengthy process. Ive become very accustomed to Multiman so I'd like to stick with that if possible. I'm sure Ferrofox is fine but I'd also like to stick with Habib.

Is very simple process.

Toggle COBRA Mode (Webman)
- Cobra Disable : Webman Combo (L3+L2+▲)

Toggle COBRA Mode (GameSonic)
Use the toggle menu:
- Cobra Disable
- Cobra Enable

Is just: install app/plugin, select disable cobra, reboot PS3.

BTW. habib . Habib Toolbox for 4.65 is working on this CFW? There also was cobra toggler there, but i think it was firmware version dependent.

Edit: Even manual renaming stage2 file should remove cobra. but wait for confirm from developer with that.

for cobra cfw use webman as its by far the easiest for iso mounting. no need to switch to columns like multiman.

to disable cobra install gamesonic manager. there is a cobra tools option

I was actually wondering for Multiman, which doesn't appear to have a way to disable Cobra, nor start up in standard CFW by default. Maybe I'm a relic but I've been doing it the same way since I started back with Rogero/Multiman. I rip my own games, never downloaded one, and none of them are in ISO format. Maybe its time to look into webman. Do you think there's a reason Multiman doesn't allow the toggling of Cobra? Doesn't the same person write both webman and Multiman? Why allow it in one but not the other? Oh well, it is what it is. I'll just have to start up Multiman and toggle to custom CFW if I choose to stick with Multiman. Thanks to everyone that took the time to reply.

A lot of thing changed from that times, old methods still work but are not used because now are better solutions.

I rip my own games, never downloaded one, ...

Very good that you are not pirating! I really like that! Just FYI, you can rip games also to iso format using mmCM (or many others)

Yes it is, also webman working also with folder format games. Not only with isos, but iso are recommended anyway for better compatibility.

Is not exactly like this webman and multiman are writen by deank, but webman mod that support cobra toggling is Aldostools and Matsumoto fork of original webman. Basic features are the same in both but mod version have a lot of add-on included.

Oh well, it is what it is. I'll just have to start up Multiman and toggle to custom CFW if I choose to stick with Multiman. Thanks to everyone that took the time to reply.

I suggest to not stick with old methods but you can if you want. Anyway if you decide to make step forward we will help you :)

Lemme tell you this, Mm has always been my favorite and best game manager for a looong time .. until i tried webman mod lately, then i start regretting my stubborness about trying new ones .. just trust urself and try webman mod i can guarantee you it will not be a waste if time, especially with the latest options and caracterestics the devs are adding lately ..

We might have very different set up's. All my PS2 iso's have been converted thru Multiman, as in, I launch one of my iso's, then Multiman converts it to .ENC. My PS2 games work fine as well, but only when I'm on Standard CFW. They don't even show up in Cobra mode.

OK, you guys convinced me, I'm giving webman a try when I get home :)
Just to confirm, it is webman mod and not webman, 2 seperate managers( as stated by kazarovv). And for your question about cobra toggling process, it is as easy as pressing a button combo (check the list of button combos available in webman settings) ..

Why dont you use multiman cobra mode (mmCM)? Or at least webman mod? No need to convert your isos to. ENC

Not sure if you've read my posts but I just explained why I don't use cobra mode. As for the converting iso's, that's how it was handled in the beginning, so thats what I stuck with. Basically, I don't feel like making a 180 because of a minor inconvenience. I'm gonna try webman and who knows, maybe in the next build of Multiman there will be a toggle to start the program in standard CFW.
