Not sure if you've read my posts but I just explained why I don't use cobra mode. As for the converting iso's, that's how it was handled in the beginning, so thats what I stuck with. Basically, I don't feel like making a 180 because of a minor inconvenience. I'm gonna try webman and who knows, maybe in the next build of Multiman there will be a toggle to start the program in standard CFW.
Sorry pal i didnt read your posts, i get why you don't want to use cobra. Gimme a chance to try. Enc isos on standard mode and i post the results

tzilla here is solution from deank: "You can stop it from doing that by replacing USRDIR/sys/DATA1 with DATA0. Copy DATA0 and rename it to DATA1 and put it in USRDIR/sys - by doing that you'll only have mM and no mmCM."

Just download this file: DATA1 And copy/overwrite it to dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/sys folder. After that you should have only multiman mode.

Holy crap, instructions from the man himself!!!!! You guys are all awesome, thanks for help!!! I will do this first thing in the morn as I'm heading to work right now. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!

Question, im not used to play ps2 games in iso format normaly i always convert them and launch them trough pkg, i want to know if by using ps2 launcher does it as more compatibility with games? also i only need to put the iso on usb0/PS2GAMES/ directory or have to create also a folder with name of the game inside?

ISO need to be in dev_hdd0/PS2ISO folder (usb is not supported), in PS2 ISO compatibility is little bit lower, or near same as pkgs. If i understand correctly for PS2 games in iso format on cobra is used kind of redirection to iso file. Situation is different for PSP isos where iso can sometime be played better due to part of prometheus (PSP PRO firmware) code injected in to cobra.

Hey kozarovv, I'm reading the directions to get rid of mmCM from deank and I'm a little confused. I was wondering if you could shed a little light on what exactly to do. I'm in the folder and there is a DATA0 and DATA1. This is where the directions start to get a little foggy. Is it as simple as downloading the DATA1 from the link you've provided and copy/pasting over the existing DATA1? Its the whole "Copy DATA0 and rename it to DATA1" If I do that then I will have no DATA0 and I'll be left with just DATA1. Then I'm supposed to replace the DATA1 with the one I download? If you could maybe shine some light on this I'd appreciate it, maybe even just list the steps like 1) 2) 3). I usually have no problem with this stuff but like I said, the steps seem a little convoluted. Thank you.

I've done for you most of needed things, like copying renaming, etc. You just need to download file that i posted and copy it to dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/sys

kozarovv it said:
1) make a copy of DATA0...copy somewhere and rename to DATA1 (so you've got a DATA1 fake)
2) take the DATA1 fake and replace to DATA1 true

or you can download this DATA1 (it is DATA0 renamed to DATA1) and replace to DATA1 true

Solved

Never mind, I figured it out, thanks for all your help. Now Multiman starts up in Standard CFW mode, just what I was looking for. This is one of the most helpful sites I've been to in a long time, special thanks to kozarovv and deank.

You were replying as I was, haha. Man, you're quick!!!! Thats just what I did and everything works great. Thanks a million.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist - LocID_CONF_Disc_Read_Error after update to HABIB 4.76 (with cobra 7.2) + multiMAN 4.76 (BASE)

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie around here so take it easy with me :)

First of all i've to thank Habib for his tremendous work developing and keeping up to date this incredible CFW, thanks :)

And my story so far with his CFW has beed great until now. After updating to HABIB 4.76 (with cobra 7.2) and multiMAN 4.76 (BASE) my backup game Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist (Ver. 1.0) started to give me the following error :"LocID_CONF_Disc_Read_Error". I can use PS3 button to come out of that screen and that's it, cannot load my game.

Until last week i was working with HABIB 4.66 (Cobra 7.0) and multiMAN 4.66.06 (i think it was .06, but i'm not sure about it), started using these two since January'15, and the game always loaded flawlessly and i could play it without any problem. The game is stored on my external HDD connected to the USB port on the left.

Well, right now i'm stuck, i don't know which update is making this error possible. I've googled for this problem and saw some different solutions, most of them updating multiMAN or the CFW was enough (in 2014 and 2013 threads on several forums) but since we are almost at the end of 2015 it makes no sense thinking that the updates could downgrade their capability :) . Other users successfully used the square button and choose "Internal" and "BD-mirror", but i'm unable to use this because the square key doesn't pop-up those options when i press it on the backed up game in multiMan, in fact doesnt pop-up any options at all, it only does on games backed up inside the PS3 unit or for the title loaded in the BD drive.

One final details is the way i've made the update, i've used a FAT32 and placed on ps3/update/ the CFW, it worked just fine. after that i've downloaded the multiman 4.76 (BASE) 34Mb size and placed on the root of the pen drive, then installed it from the installation app available on PS3 menus, worked fine also, no errors to report. all info screens states as it should, the CFW is 4.76 with cobra 7.2 and multiMAN is reported as 4.76.

If any of you guys could help i appreciate it!

Thanks!

Try delete game data and then run game again.

Hy, thank you for your help.

Ill try that but that will erase all my progress on the game right?

Just to make sure, to erase data is where the stored games settings, progress and that sort of things are kept right? Is possible to make a backip before erasing that?

Thanks
