PS3 4.81 OVERFLOW CFW Collection ( Standard CEX / NO-BD / COBRA 7.3 / DualBoot) v1.00

]Yes fself files such as eboots will run, It's very simple really, the lv0 returns a no to dex game files when they run (eboots), so my lv0 returns yes which allows cex to run a dex file, then it's just a case of patching out the loading errors such as 017 and 009 which are caused later on in the loading process,

Thanks for the explanation

The packages available for download are some packages such as psn patch, ps ninja and some packages made by myself such as an xmb editor and the toolbox for my cfw and also a spoofer pkg that i release for cfw users on my cfw
,

PS ninja is a VERY OUTDATED TOOL THAT IS OBSOLETE (people read that please over and over as it does not sink well at all). PSNpatch/SEN ENABLER does every function and then some (with that some being things that will actually help prevent a ban much better)

A spoofer for your 4.81 CFW? XMB editor sounds interesting, what type of functions.

I'm not sure that I understand what you mean by enhanced remote play, The conventional patches have been made to support remote play including from disc,

Remote play is a native feature of the FW, Enhanced remote play always more things (but not all) to be used in remote play

I have removed the "update via internet" with "Do not update via internet !" and also replaced the "There has been a system update would you like to update now" with "Sony has released a new update, if you update online you will lose your jailbreak, do you want to lose your jailbreak", this is to stop noobs losing their jb,
I see, thanks for clairfying

Yes i agree ps ninja is very outdated but i get a lot of people ask about it for hiding from friends online lol,
Personally I feel webman stealth shortcut is the best of all,

no a spoofer for the previous version,

To be honest the person i got the remote play patches from at ps3 dev wiki only stated remote play compatibility,
I will look into it a little more,
thanks for the info

and the xmb editor has these functions/options,

install coldboot, xmb lines, theme or new psn logo from usb (your own),
or also has pre made versions of each that you can install from inside the pkg,
just to change the look of your xmb really, I have some plans to add other things to make it do more things but I'm waiting to hear back from other authers/devs to confim it's ok to use their work, ie waiting for nzv to ok the mamba to be used

I am fairly certain that the problem in both of our cfws is the stage2.bin,
The reason I think this is I have been playing around with my cfw, your cfw and spy cfw,
seems spy cfw is using the rebug 4.80.1 ps2emu files but with a different stage2 (possibly the same but just hashes changed i guess),
it's strange how both of our stage2.bin files do not work correctly with ps2emu and both were compiled on windows,
I would say (in 4.80 stage2) to just change hashes in stage2.bin and compile but using fedora and I'm sure it will correct this problem,
I am going to look into what causes the compilation problem and if I make any progress I will send you my findings.

I was able to correct the problem, make compiling the all ps2 emulator under fedora. So the problem lies in the compile of emulators with their stage2. We are testing the CFW ..

Also can we stop with the CID discussion
Well as they say in the playground "he started it", :) Sorry about that ,thought it wasnt a problem to talk about the selling of them seeing as Greg could bring up the topic of CIDs without issue and at the same time puke on bobby's thread trying to create drama and suckceeding . (which imo was completely off topic / 18 months old :)) So it's ironic that the drama post everyone "liked" ended up advertising the thing he was trying to puke on and basically breaking the rules himself. :)

Anyway on topic: Bobby's FW release was one of the better ones from what I've seen of it from my testing, he was the only one to release source on FW release, and it has some nice mods built into the FW on install such as custom package manager which I like, and homebrew stuff item in the network category and a modified what's new section. I will add support in the next launchpad release for this (coming soon). The only thing I don't like is the icon colours and the wave, but those can be changed and I just prefer the standard XMB colours myself personally.

I have 2 installers put together that can install Launchpad v0.16 and XMBPD v0.62 on this CFW or another 4 Cobra Cfws (inc Rebug). Just gotta do some more testing.

Hello everyone, i just wanted to say good job Bobby, i just grabbed your CFW to update my little son's PS3 :)

I also read your file "Info about jailbroken ps3s and cfw" and Thank you for all your support,
i am now so far from the scene, with many things to take care in life, but i still remember the good days,
i enjoyed working with lot of friends and devs ( Dean, Evilnat, Abkarino, EussNL, Condorstrike and a lot more )
this all brings nice memories to me.

you are doing a great job for the scene now with more fellow devs, Respect to all.

Cheers

Rogero.

Hi Rogero, welcome, good to see you. :)

@Bobby_Downgrades I have a small suggestion for your custom "install packages", can you add the path Dev_hdd0/packages to the "from hard drive" section in future releases, I think most users would like that.
Code:
<!-------------------------------------------------------from hard drive------------------------------->
<View id="seg_install_files_hdd0">
<Attributes>
<Table key="host_device">
<Pair key="icon"><String>/dev_flash/webman/wm_icons/icon_wm_root.png</String></Pair>
<Pair key="title"><String>From Hard Drive</String></Pair>
<Pair key="info"><String>Install packages from internal storage</String></Pair>
<Pair key="child"><String>segment</String></Pair>
<Pair key="ingame"><String>disable</String></Pair>
</Table>
</Attributes>

<Items>
<Query
class="type:x-xmb/folder-pixmap"
key="host_device" attr="host_device"
src="#seg_install_files_hdd0_path"
/>
</Items>
</View>
<View id="seg_install_files_hdd0_path">
<Items>
<Query class="type:x-xmb/xmlpackagefolder" key="host_provider_flash" src="host://localhost/q?path=/dev_flash/packages&suffix=.pkg&subclass=x-host/package" />
<Query class="type:x-xmb/xmlpackagefolder" key="host_provider_hdd" src="host://localhost/q?path=/dev_hdd0/packages&suffix=.pkg&subclass=x-host/package" />
</Items>

one thing i had not mentioned about cobra src and psl1ght. you cannot compile the gen executables and have to use mingw. the one i have installed for sdk works great for this.

Not sure I understand,
Do you mean that you are compiling the exec gens with pslight only ?
Could you explain a little more please,
I ended up having to use fedora to avoid broken files, tip from @Joonie that was very helpful,
it would be nice to fully compile with windows if possible.

That's a really good idea, I'll edit it that way, thanks :)

Thank you very much,
since finding psx place I have found many people who can help me with things, it's great :)
Hopefully I will get more people contributing to the cfw, @DeViL303 already is and has some great ideas,
Hope your keeping well.

now you are saying it, dunno if i am using the standard mingw or the one from psl1ght. but i think the windows executables are compiled with standard mingw installation (the one from 3.40 sdk). at least i have added all missing headers to psdev2 folder so you can compile ps2 emu files just fine.

i think i have tried the ones for 4.78 or 4.75 and they worked fine. only thing i can imagine is, bad symbols or this stupid gameos flag crap, where i had no problem with 4.21

Oh ok I see,
I believe the mingw i was using first was the one from psl1ght and using sdk 3.60 but since I have re installed my environment onto a different pc I have used only sdk 3.40, since looking at the cobra that did not run ps2emu correctly and looking at the one that does I see now that the problem was with my stage2.bin, (some wrong offsets lol), I'm going to re compile the whole payload and hopefully that will work,
also do you mean the general release psdev2 or your private build ?
I'm guessing the full release ?

i think the one i have uploaded, @Joonie also uses. _NzV_ has given it to @Joonie for tests, but there were some headers missing and you couldn't compile everything and you had to comment malloc

@Bobby_Downgrades compare them with my ported in git. The Ferrox cobra 1.01 work correctly ps2 / psp. In my case it was a bad compilation of gx emu under windows environment.
hum, these i cannot test myself unluckily, so i cannot confirm them working correctly.

@Bobby_Downgrades
it seems you are you using a different fself patch, when only patching lv0. would you mind to elaborate a little more about it and tell what you have patched in lv0?

Thanks, I'll look into it.
The whole payload compiles and I don't see any errors, I'm guessing that maybe the files are broken,
would commenting malloc enable a complete build with no damage any files ?
I think I already did that actually when I was first building full on windows.

nah, with this psdev2 you can compile without any errors or modifications to cobra source. there have to be different problems.
i had no reports of not working gxemu or any other back then

That's what I thought, when I ported 4.78 to 4.80 I compiled fully on windows and did not have any problems, I don't think,
I'll comb the code again, the one that works that I compiled on fedora must have some small difference like one offset which is stopping it from working,
Thanks for your help and info much appreciated.
