Small fix:
partition table type. Partition itself has nothing to do with it as it's "type" is a filesystem type.

I was playing games with cfw and multiman. I changed to hfw 4.87.1 and now few games won't starting.... just staying black screen and my console freezing. What is the solution can you help me guys?

hello, can you help my problem? i try update the HFW 4.87.1 to my OFW 4.87 but it didn;t work. i've been trying to do using manualy update(system Update at Normal) and Using Recovery Mode. but neither of them work, i try like 10 times still it doesn't change to HFW 4.87.1 still Like my original firmware version. he finish update like normaly but not changing version. can some one help or have another way for my problem?

It will look no different to OFW, if the PUP installs then you have updated. There is no way to visually check.
oh well i think it should be like the example, if see system information it change to hfw. but there is no change, now i try instal ps3 hen for 1 time eror and i try again it's working properly. thank so much for helping and thanks for @Joonie create this firmware. this is very, very extraordinary i've been waiting so long for my ps3.
it is just not possible to change it. the number shown in system information is stored with only enough space for three numbers. the ps3 can not display "4.86.1" or "4.86 HFW" or anything like that. it would be nice but it will never happenoh well i think it should be like the example, if see system information it change to hfw. but there is no change, now i try instal ps3 hen for 1 time eror and i try again it's working properly. thank so much for helping and thanks for @Joonie create this firmware. this is very, very extraordinary i've been waiting so long for my ps3.
yes. version 3.0.2 of PS3HEN is available for 4.87 HFW. it is available on **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new) (there are 2 installers there). you can also use Auto HEN Installer.Hello everyone, I just want to know whether Hen for the latest HFW 4.87.1 is yet released or not ? Hello again and thank you for your answer ,yet I still need some aid in terms of getting the latest hen version; sadly, I could not enter **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new) through my ps3- after HFW 4.87.1 was successfully installed using a flash drive and through recovery mode- reporting incessantly that the page "could not be displayed" through PS3 browser in attempt to get hen installer. How can I troubleshoot this issue ?
PS I have successfully reached the **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new) in two occasions: one on phone using VPN application and the second through using an alternative mirror link found on reddit.com (however the latter does not show or provide any available hen version for the latest HFW 4.87.1 but only 4.86.1 or lower as I remember).
Else, the image that appears above is what I got using the alternative shared link on reddit.com (the post was shared 6 months back).
If able to respond my query, I would really appreciate your backup.

grab the PS3HEN.BIN.txt below and put it on usb. RENAME it to "PS3HEN.BIN" (remove the .txt part).

download this pkg file. copy it to usb and rename it "HEN_UPD.pkg".
plug usb into the same slot used to install hfw. start ps3 and goto this page:

when hen starts, it should find the pkg on usb and install it. when done, unplug the usb and delete the 2 files. reboot and enable hen.
EDIT:
the PS3HEN.BIN files is version 3.0.2 for 4.87.

Hello and sorry for delay. I have finally reached a conclusion. I succeeded in installing Hen 3.0.2 through copy and paste the auto hen link address in the PS3 browser after had previously failed to reach **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new) several times. Well, I think that I am done for now; therefore, I would like to thank you again for your helpful support and wish you all the best. I really liked it and every facilities and loophole opportunities that enable maximizing the use of the machine performance overall.
We actually can do it inside the PUP on CFW, no problem, and we can can do it on HFW but only after its hacked with HEN or HAN, not possible to do it inside the PUP on HFW.it is just not possible to change it. the number shown in system information is stored with only enough space for three numbers. the ps3 can not display "4.86.1" or "4.86 HFW" or anything like that. it would be nice but it will never happen
It's just an rco mod that could be included in CFW PUPs and in the HEN pkg.. I do not know why CFW creators do not do this mod as standard.
