Please see the link in my post above yours for the 4.87 thread which will be updated with 4.87 CFW as they are released. This thread is just HFW.

At the moment only HFW is available, which makes 4.87 exploitable. However, the exploit tools themselves (for CFW and HEN) need to be first updated to support the new update. So the answer to your question is: not yet

That is probably a good idea. I would suggest periodically checking this thread for updates on exploits for 4.87 - depending on your PS3 model you can either install CFW or HEN, both of which are yet to be updated (and their respective exploits) to support 4.87.
