PS3 4.87 updating problem

So turned on the ps3 in awhile and its on 4.87 DEX so i was going to update it to the newest cfw. Downloaded 4.92 Evilnat D-PEX put it on flash drive but when i go to update its gray and gives me error code 80029CCA. ive tried the other ones and the same thing. downloaded the 4.92 ofw from playstation still gray. Dont remember what all apps was on it but tried to just full reset it but it said it was going to take 7 hours so it did a quick format. Ive tried different usbs and got another hardrive out of another ps3 and it still wouldnt let me update in recovery mode. please someone help.
 
convert to CEX -> install evilvat pex -> update all your homebrew -> convert to DEX

if you can't get out of recovery try installing rebug d-rex 4.87 from usb
