can you add this patch? This patch works for gameboot sound.

add this to modulespatch.c (line 189 - game_ext_plugin_patches)
{ gameboot_animation, 0x38600002, &condition_true },

and

add this to modulespatch.h (line 238 - game_ext_plugin)
#define gameboot_animation 0x5718

I'm so glad if you want to add it.
Actually I want to add it myself, but I don't have the official PS3 SDK so I can't compile it.

i will take a look at it when i make the new one.

i do not have sony's sdk either but it is only needed for the henplugin.sprx luckly.

what does this do exactly? is there a thread about it (even for CFW) that you can link to? do i need some extra sound files?

i want to test the BT patch with a few speakers that i borrowed. after that i will try this patch, but i do not know how to test it (because i do not know what it is supposed to do).

Yes need additional files, i forgot to associate it sorry.
What you need is a sound file like coldboot. The file is in ac3 format.
maybe you can give it a try with this.

Just tried bluetooth earphones and it worked of course the sound is garbage but at least I confirmed that the mod is working. Going to buy a USB speaker tomorrow to see if it works.

Yes. For some reason it just won't work on my bluetooth speaker but it worked on my bluetooth earphones.
I think that's enough proof that this mod is working.

I installed HEN using ps3xploit "HEN Installer/Enabler". I don't know about the original HEN since I'm new to this and I just hacked my PS3 yesterday. I tested my bt earphones and it's working and I think that's enough proof that the mod is working.

i had one speaker that literally said "bluetooth connected" but the PS3 only gave an error.

also my earbuds would usually need to be repaired every time i restarted the PS3.

i have used the CFW mod with a nice soundbar before. it always connected correctly. some cheap speakers may not be completely compliant with bluetooth standards.
 
Is it normal that bluetooth devices gets a bad performance because mine feels like I'm hearing sounds while underwater which makes it pretty unusable and does this work on usb speakers (not headset).
