I just wanted to play a DVD as a rehearsal, but the message Error Code came 800299D2 Evilnat D-Pex Beta 8 4.91 I have a Cecha00 and I wanted to play a Pal DVD, that went before.
I also had to replace my drive, I now have a BD 410 in it. Previously it was BD 400
Thanks for the info, do you know if Blu-Ray works? On dex No, I tested the DVD, I just wanted to know if it was just me. Because with Cex DVD works with the new drive.Unfortunately, on Evilnat's CFW, DVDs can't be played on DEX. If this is something important to you, you can either convert to CEX, or use REBUG DEX instead. Hopefully @Evilnat can patch this in the future.

I didn't test Blu-ray on DEX, but I don't expect it to work.

looks like it's just a signing flag on bd player self files... and I did confirm they were running via ISO method... I don't think the physical playback is working.

EDIT: Just tested and have observed the following:
1. With CEX Kernel and DEX TargetID, the PS3 shows a black screen and becomes unresponsive.
2. With DEX Kernel, error 800299D2 is shown.
Thank you @Joonie
Well, in the OP post it says, 'mysis has found a solution for Blu-Ray disc playback (0x800299D2 fix) on DEX.' It's the same error @CFW-Us3r reported. Maybe it should fix it and work with physical discs as well.
EDIT
Let's see what @Evilnat says. I can't test it myself because the only physical disc I still have is not working anymore. It kicks back to the XMB
I have another question, can I use saves with the function fake save data owner again in normal saves? The fake save data owner function does not exist at Cex.
I found this for Cex, but it doesn't work.

I didn't know about this, thank you so much Joonie! I will sign those files in BETA 9 along more changes@LuanTeles @Evilnat

Can you please test if it now works on this initial BETA 9?I should clarify that my test was on Evilnat's CFW. I can install REBUG DEX and try both a physical DVD and Blu-ray if it would be of use to anyone.
EDIT: I decided to test anyway. On REBUG 4.84, both DVD and Blu-ray playback is working with DEX TargetID — on both CEX and DEX kernels.

@Evilnat, curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to take AacsModule.spu.isoself, bdj.self and bdp_BDMV.self from REBUG 4.84 and add them to BETA 9 of your CFW — now Blu-ray playback is working in all scenarios. However, DVD is the same as I noted before.
bdp_BDVD.self is still not signed properly.
