Hello, I'm here to share an extremely simple discovery that I just made but that I couldn't find anywhere.
I had been trying to edit the ICON0.PNG/PIC1.PNG files of some PKG's that I installed for a long time. But for some reason I don't know what, when I tried to change these files for some games, they didn't work.
Even the extension(.PNG), dimension and name are exactly the same.
Then I had an idea and voilà! Finally, after almost a year, I managed to put the icons and background images that I wanted in my games.
What you should do:
Simply copy the original file (ICON0/PIC1) you want to edit. Open it and edit over that one. Just this. In my rather rudimentary case:
Open the image in paint and pasted the image I wanted over the original image and saved the same file.
I have no idea why even using another image exactly the same doesn't work. Only if it's the same original file (a type of encryption maybe?)
Anyway, I decided to share this because for a long time I tried to find a solution and never succeeded until this moment. Maybe someone in the same situation as me reads this and can help.
