Anyone able to install mods on UT3?
I have placed .jam file in root of fat32 usb in both ports of superslim and the usb is not recognised when i try to add the mod from the relevant section in UT3 menu. Tried 2 usb sticks but neither is recognised by the game although it is seen in xmb and can be used on multiman.

I have pal iso installed with latest update and titan pack, if anyone can shed any ligh that would be great. Maybe there is another way to install the .jam file for this game? Thanks

Short answer; Unless you have the disc, you can't download any mod. I had same issue. You need to have the disc to download mods from it then play the game from multiman. It works like that but otherwise I didn't find any way to play it. I used Irisman and Multiman to see is only mutliman have the issue. Turns out, ISO or OG disc file doesn't matter. It doesn't work

Also I know I am like 1 year late to this XD

the same's happening to me, i found out it has something to be with "HEN", it "crashes" with the game and makes it impossible to mod.
Maybe, if someone has the disc, he could tell us what has changed in the game's folder, so we could copy it and try to mod the game.

I don't know about HEN, but on CFW you can install mods without a disc...

There might be a way to manually install mods. If it's possible to decompile the USERDATA.JAM file, you could then move the mod's folder to /dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30086/USRDIR/DLC (or BLES00200/BLES00201 for the Euro version).

Oi- you gave me an idea... there is a tool that is for game modding... both for hen and cfw.
Now the reason why I wanted the files of the original game is to compare them, maybe we could add the damm mods straightaway into the files

Could you pleasecheck in your files and see if there is a change in them? Also there is a way to decompress user.data yk? With tools. Just search and you will find it.
Dm me when you have the userdata extracted so I can try an experiment

Jediknight and I found a way to install mods on the game buddy. But you require the titan dlc, the mod to be decompressed into "xxx" files and multiman
The mod files go to hdd0/games/blus or bles/usdr/ps3/black dlc (or something like that) just paste the files.

And how we decompress the mods

You don't (I have been unable to find a decompiler for these files), you install them via the game. Main menu, Community, My Content. You need the 2.0 update and the Titan Pack DLC installed.

Just stick the USERJAM file on the root of a FAT32 USB drive, start the game, then import the mod. You can use multiple USB drives (install, back out to main menu, remove USB, put another in, import that one, etc.)

The more mods you have, the longer it seems to install them. After you have 10-15 mods installed, move them out of the folder before installing more.

I can only say good luck

UPDATE: I tried cooking the game mods on pc, using a copy of ut3 but cracked because the game is impossible to get nowadays, so I tried to "cook" the mod files but it kept asking me for a certain "ini", thing that I didn't have... and I don't know how to get it... so I tried different methods and none of them worked, then I just went mad and deleted everything.

I can only say good luck
If you wanna try it, these are the tools

"UT3 downloaded from "Elamigos" page, PS3 mod tools, you can get them from moddb page, and the mods I wanted. If you suceed in cooking them, please tell me how you've done it. Remember that if the USERDATA.JAM doesn't work, the XXX files will. Before the mod is completely turned into JAM, some xxx files will appear.

Guys, i guess i managed to load mods on the game (my game is europe), basically i just reinstalled the game data (installed dlc first and then updated to 2.00), plus i didnt used the option to install the rest of game data for ps3 (on setting options), idk if it really worked for that (my ps3 is on 4.91 and its super slim)

Hey guys, im back, and we have a way to unpack mods for UT3, check the site ut3mod.com and check Tool section, the site Will have the Jam extractor, Just dont forget to rename the mod for uppercase to truly work.

The site is a revival of the old site that hosted mods for UT3 in 2000's

Here the site for those who wanna check: https://ut3mod.com/

Thx Herby for the site and the Tool.
