Here in Argentina no one is making the Frankenstein mod, at least that I'm aware of; but there are a couple of reballers. There are these people that charge more or less 60 us bucks for it and seem to do their job fine based on reviews.
How much of a good plan would it be to get a backwards compatible fat, ask a reballer to change the 90 nm for a 40 nm, then do the rest of the mod myself? I have the basics of soldering (cables and guitar pedal circuits) and that's it. I'm also willing to learn microsoldering.
I wanna hear your advice on this, and your experience if you've done it.
