PS3 After disassembling my Slim ps3, i cant get it to turn on

My ps3 slim sounded like a jet engine while playing, so i decided to put new thermal paste on. After disassembling and reassembling the console, i realized that i had broken the ribbon for the power button, which sucks but isnt the end of the world. i plugged my controller in and got my ps3 to turn on, but i had to unplug it since it didnt reach my hdmi cord. well, i havent gotten it to turn on ever since then. ive tried messing with the power cords, different controllers, i really dont know what the problem is. any help is greatly appreciated, i really dont want to lose my ps3.

Buy several ribbon cables (they are cheap) and try to revert your device back to its functional state. Hopefully, it will start to work again.
Don't force it to turn on with broken parts.
