PS2 Anyway to transfer Games from USB to HDD?

i know there is a lot of way else than this but its 2022 and i do not own a computer and all i have access to is USBUtill2.0 i dont really care about waiting time im just wondering if i can transfer files converted with USBUtill2.0 to the HDD or is there a way to emulate my USB like something else to put them on the HDD

until now i know that games bigger than 4gb has to be converted with USBUtil and the ones lower then 4gb can i just pass them with the sign code (ex;SLUS.096.45.XXXXX) to the HDD?

or if i cannot can i put emulators and roms on the HDD instead and use my USB to run my backups untill i get a bigger HDD?
 
PS2 games on USB are put on filesystem, while PS2 games on internal HDD are put as partition. So there is no way to copy them via file manager. It must be a designed app which... doesn't exist.

Even if someone would write it, it would takes ages as reading speed for USB 1.1 is ~1MiB/s so do the maths (i.e "God of War 2" would be transferring from USB to HDD in ~3h and opposite way few times slower). ;)
 
There is no application that will read USB as ODD, and also there is no application which would mount disc image from USB as ODD. And in both cases, in addition, to install this game to internal HDD.

You need computer to move PS2 games on USB to HDD. There is no workaround to this today and high probably also in future, simply because USB 1.1 is to slow to have any sense in making such program.

If You have working ODD and original games (or backups but You need modchip for that), You can install games from optical discs except DVD9 (DVD DL).
 
does that mean even for emulators and homebrews i will need to pass with a pc? i mean for example can i put gba games on the hdd with my usb?
 
You need PC only for PS2 games installing because they are put as partitions. Everything else lie on filesystem (PFS) which can be manage by file manager like i.e uLE (unofficial LaunchELF).
 
It is technically possible, but just doesn't make much sense and is hence unlikely to be implemented by anyone.
