Major_Pothead92 has been advising to use PS3GameConvert v0.91 instead of CFW2OFW Helper and we see in the related (closed) thread that he has tried and failed at it using CFW2OFW Helper.

The file I'm about to PKGLink to my ps3 is one where I edited the param before using CFW2OFW, but replaced the eboot after the conversion. Will update shortly.

you have to edit the param before converting or CFW won't work at all. Not certain about game convert.

Sandungas, I don't see the sense of your suddenly inserting that unrelated topic
I cleansed wiki of links liable to "Circumvention of Technological Measures" legal issues -- links to websites hosting software that violates encryption of proprietary technology
to this thread in defense of your moderator who closed a whole thread instead of just removing offending content -— If that mod had not closed that thread, people would not need to create this duplicate topic thread and keep referencing that other one. Sandungas, you're trying to compare my action to what he did while I did not close the wiki, just cleaned it up of offending content? Your argument is broken.

Alright no luck with CFW2OFW gonna give it another 2 goes repeating the processes with PS3 Game Convert.

Small hiccup, when using ps3 game convert these is no eboot in the NPUB folder to replace. Not sure how to replace an eboot if there is no eboot to replace. Also majorpothead when you edit the Param do you switch it from disc game to hard drive game?

The links you deleted in wiki are projects hosted in github so it means they considers are legal, the IRD files are just a collection of hashes, you also deleted some links to this and other forums

So you overreacted... in the same way nCadeRegal did when he closed the thread
And both you did it for the same reason, to protect forum and wiki communities from any kind of "takedown notice" from sony, game developers, or whatever... we like our communities and we want them to stay alive, so eventually we overprotect them

And both actions had the same consequences... the users that could get benefited by the links in wiki or the closed thread here have lost a resource

Actually, i did not liked your edit where you removed the links the other day but i did not mentioned it to you... until now that coincidentially you started critizising him in a excesivelly direct way

You could have mentioned it was bad and move on... we could delete the last post of the other thread, and merge it with this one, or whatever... os simply doing nothing because at this point you have mentioned here the nteresting info from the other thread so in some way this thread superceeds the other

I look forward to listing the working method on CFW2OFW Compatibility List. Realizing you know something the rest of the world doesn't, is an amazing feeling and sharing techniques keep the flow of new tech going.

Yeah that's one of our big rules here. Like @sandungas said a few post up we have to protect the site.
I see that you added that you own the game & that makes thing a little better but we still can't post links to games.
 
Yeah I'm just waiting on @Major_Pothead92 as well. I've made a little over a dozen attempts using different methods so I'm excited to see what he has to offer as we get to the bottom of this. I'm wondering if it might be related to whether you're using PS3Han or CFW or whatever. I'm currently using a super slim ps3 with han. I'm a huge fan of new vegas so I would love to find a way to get a backup working for everyone. I only have the ultimate edition for ps3 as well no standard edition. Excited to see if we can get to the bottom of this sometime soon though.
