Im OP lol and guys. i just wanted to know who dare walk that yellow brick road. i have strayed away a lot recently, due to my one account being banned, leading to paranoia. But also i am getting an intense PC set up put together. But i would definitely go back if people were still online somewhere. On a completely different line of things, do you guys know how to change your nat type? i have tried everything on my router and ps3 and i just cant get any success.
dude i understand completely. I had talked to my ISP about it and he said that similar people faced the same issue with ps3. Both OFW and CFW. What i was told is run your router into dmz mode and use the IP address of your ps3. Then go to your port forwarding and port 80-3144. It's something close to those numbers anyway. You then have to create a static IP on the ps3 itself. After all that, it should work for most. I cant get it to work either way and was just wondering if anyone had any luck recoding anything in the ps3 or maybe a pkg. At this point idek what to do. But I hope that helps your situation a little.I have decent quality business class internet, and although my modem & router aren't super high-end, I run non-stock, open source firmware on both. A few years back, I followed every guide I could find and couldn't get to NAT1 consistently with any of them.
If anyone has ever had good success with this, I'd love to get pointed in the right direction as well. I don't currently have an OFW PS3 that's going to go on PSN, but that next one is always just around the corner, at this point.
Also, pm me sometime. I would like to learn the process of running a different firmware on my router. The settings I have are nice, but theyre not as in depth as i need them to be. I live up in the mountains and its hard to find a reliable provider. But the ones i have now have me running my router through apn, which we had to configure together cuz the thing stock wasnt getting anything. no signal no in no out. nothing. It works now but it seems kinda effy. Goes in and out constantly. Anyway, thanks dude.
