As soon as i enter a game my ps3 shuts off and start to flashing red what should i do ?

So i was on CFW 4.88 that i have installed from the official bgtoolset and i wanted to upgrade to the CFW 4.89 without knowing that the bgtoolset is not working , i've watched a few tutorials and and the site didn't work for me so i instaled the HFW 4.89 and it worked properly
But after some days my ps3 started to shut down and flashing red as soon as i enter a game
It works properly when i'm in the menu of the ps3 but as soon as i enter the game it works for about 4 min then it shut down and start to flash red light
And there's no overheating problems or notification that pops on the screen it just turn off by it self
I don't know if is the problem caused by the new
HFW 4.89 or it's a system problem or my ps3 is broken
Side note : my ps3 is a fat system and it didn't have all that problems when i was on CFW 4.88
And the ps3 is now on 4.89
What should i do ??

Since you were on CFW already you had no need for bgtoolset again to install a CFW.

All you needed to do is install the new 4.89 CFW by USB method from system update (or recovery menu). However now you can not do that, as you updated to 4.89 HFW and have lost the ability to install a CFW..

HFW is used for PS3HEN, which is now your only current option to use.

So how can i fix this problem ??
What should i do to return on CFW ??

I had this issue, but it was only with certain ps3 games, mainly cod black ops 2

I checked the syscon errors and every time it shut down with a flashing red light it left the same error code A0801001

I decided to add 2 x 470 ohm capacitors, tagged onto the existing Tokin and it now works, so it seems to be a power on the cell/B issue for me.

have you checked your error codes?
