PS3 BC PS3 upgrade from Rebug to Evilnat ?

Hi, i have a BC PS3 20GB with REBUG LITE 4.86.1 Cobra 8.2 CEX , is it possible/worth upgrading to the latest 4.89 evilnat?
Do i loose previous stuff by any chance?

Just install Evilnat's CFW as you would install any other FW upgrade from USB. No need to run any exploit again.
Make sure you do not accidentally install OFW 4.89, you will not be able to reinstall any CFW except by using a hardware flasher!
Whether it's actually needed or not - probably only if you're using PSN or using the PS3 to watch Blu-Ray movies. I'm on Rebug 4.84 REX and never encountered a single player game that wouldn't run on that so 4.86 is obviously fine as well.

AFAIK the only changes in both 4.87 and 4.88 was updates to the Blu-Ray player encryption keys to allow playback of new Blu-Ray titles. 4.89 tightened the security of PSN accounts.
None of those changes has anything to do with actual games.

BTW are you experiencing any bugs or issues with 4.86?

None, but i mostly play PS2 titles or old PS3 games, newer titles never worked on this fat model (EX Gran turismo 6)

Are you using PSN? have you never been banned?
Some people are using Rebug to bypass updates and dont update to latest CFW (4.89 evilnat right now).

The problem is because I have a faulty/not working BD, I cannot update to the latest firmware to get my fake act.dat like I was easily able to on Evilnat. Does rebug even have a option to activate the dummy account? I've tried ReactPSN as it does not work. I tried to use SEN and spoofed to 4.87 but thats the latest version Im able to spoof too. I've tried numerous threads and nothing seems to help. Any help would be appreciated.
