I was replacing my faulty Blu Ray drive and unfortunately the replacement does not work either.
When I opened it up the part in the first picture was fully loose. I think that I have put it back in place correctly? Should there be a spring on it?
I have also reset all the mechanisms but notice when I put the unit back together the case is not flush. The pictured gears do not seem to sit on a cog well when I put the two parts together. Again am I missing something?
The drive will take in a disk but once in its not recognised and it won't eject (just a pretty long whirring noise).
