i just actually noticed this, but your firmware version in the original dump is 4.85, not 4.86. This in itself does not matter concerning your issue, but i thought i would mention it because this illustrates another issue, which is submission reports of problems are not always correct and that can lead to more work being done or things looked at that are not needed.
There are a few major issues here:
- You did not make a dump after patched, so we cannot verify what was written or not written (this is not the fault of the user, as we never suggested users should have to do this)
- You formatted the hard drive (this should not actually affect your situation with NAND because the XMB should still load with NO HDD or a fresh formatted one)
- You cannot access XMB (this is a mystery to most of us and is uncertain just why your NAND is not acting the way it should in this situation, but without access to XMB, you have no access to Web Browser, and no access to use the fix)
- The hex and high version (FFFF.FFFF, 9999.9999) PUPs are pretty much unheard of and untested by the community as a whole, and to a further extent, how the ps3 makes its determination to be able to even install such a PUP
We are trying to figure out what can be done for you, but as of right now, there are no viable paths for you, unless XMB can be loaded or the PUP can be installed with such an awkward versioning
EDIT #1:
by chance did you try using or use the old writer on 4.85 with the orange screen at any point before toolset? All of those links have been removed from ps3xploit site when toolset released. Only asking because that would screw things up
EDIT #2:
Did you click the "Strict Mode" button in toolset? If no, then good. If you did, then anything could have been written
EDIT #3:
Have you ever installed or enabled PS3HEN on this system, prior to using toolset or during? This one is a stretch, i know, but we need to know exact conditions and as much history as possible, without a patched dump to check anything, it's almost impossible to know
