PS3 bgtoolset access workaround guide

Ok, so I did everything, but I couldn't seem to find the Deflate tick on Fiddler, and also in Documents in Fiddler 2, there was a file with already formatted Java, and I didn't do anything to it. I continued the steps, and everything seemed to work perfectly, and I loaded into the PS3 toolset, but where the log text is supposed to be, it just says, "The page cannot be displayed. (80710028)" and i checked on ps3exploit if it would do the same error but nothing. The site works perfectly, but all I can do is change the theme. I was wondering if you have answers to my previous question.

That's hen. I'm looking for cfw using the new method that niq posted

You wanted a video to jailbreak your console. HEN provides 95% of what CFW does. Hence, the video tutorial you asked for.

If you can't follow a numbered, step-by-step list, then jailbreaking is not for you. This thread explains a workaround, not an user-friendly and certainly not a final alternative, to load BgToolset.

I was looking for a cfw guide using the toolset method niq provided so I can get ALL the benefits of cfw not a hen video which gives me 95% of what a cfw can do hence it is NOT the video I asked for

Nobody made one because the guide is a few hours new at best. I would have made one if I had a HDMI capture card (I need to get one that does both HDMI and Component, stat. Any suggestions on a capture card/box that can do both and isn't expensive is welcome!) but I'm unfortunately unable to do so.

That's cool bro. I appreciate the gesture

If you follow the steps exact again on here as is said and get to the toolset you can follow this guide once you are in the toolset. It shows how to use the toolset and how to install cfw. it also shows you how to dump the original ps3 memory file and verify it using the toolset before trying to apply the patch so if something stops and it corrupts you will have the backup file to reflash to the ps3 with a hardware flasher to restore it should something go wrong.

I'm going to assume they didn't exactly understand the Fiddler4 side of the guide.

The bgtoolset part is fairly easy and as reported by three users now (me, you and @Fukurowa), works perfectly fine for both NAND and NOR. I'll admit it took me a while to finish mainly since my unit was on 4.90 Evilnat CFW prior to doing this guide, and just for helping everyone w/ NAND units here I sacrificed one of my G04s by going 4.91 OFW, then doing the guide to CFW back in.
That also helped me rule out a strange PSU issue I was having with the unit just now (3x 3003 errors) out of the blue.

"9) Extract the attached file using 7zip or WinRAR into that folder and overwrite the existing file (you might want to back it up somewhere first)".

What file exactly? Nvm. Reading is fundamental.

I was able to get thought this on a PS3 Fat 60GB. This PS3 was a Japanese region system. The only reason I wanted to jail break it with CFW was so that I could play old PS2 USA games!
All good now! BTW - PS2 Games opened under HEN without the region lock error, but the games crashed.
