Bricked console?

Hello All, as all im after some help.
Backstory: i brought a ps3 CECH-3003A that i think is bricked, it gets power to red light, but once pressed, itll go green then out, the eject button will make a sound when pressed, and if press the power button itll go red again. ive checked and tried another PSU and thats fine, checked the main board and theres no shorts, broken components, and nothing gets hot. so im wondering if the previous owner had tried something, failed and sold on. but im not sure how to do so as all the videos ive found say to use the original dump, but of course i dont have one as i brought it in this state.

Question: Can i bring it back to life with a E3 Flasher?

Thank you in advance for any and all support.

Don't buy a PS3 even if it's "junk" without knowing the condition of why it's being sold as "parts only" or whatever you bought it as.

If it can't boot into safe mode, then it's most likely bricked. A total wipe and reset of the drive may work, but no absolute guarantee.

Junk that's been traded through multiple people probably keeps finding it's way to other people because it's exactly that, junk.

Could be anything; a fried chipset due to all the paste melting off, CPU/PSU/RSX, capacitors, inferior voltage from power supply.

That's the thing with "parts only" PS3's, they're a complete gamble... Have fun with your fancy door-stopper. :tongue new:
