PS3 Bug report (beta 1 evilnat 4.91.3) black screen after format

Caused me to create new partition table and start again it's soft brick

Confirmed because I checked it with checksum tool

No not normally I have to enter recovery

So it's cobra related, i have similar issues when switching between HFW and CFW or between older EvilNat and newer ones

Maybe is related to cobra.cfg @Evilnat

@Evilnat xai plugin only created 129 out of 27K from my rap.bin and then it gave an error.

Just go to recovery mode to disable Cobra then go to file manager and delete it (dev_hdd0/vm/) and finally enable cobra again

I use my other hard drive to enter recovery because after update install even recovery shows same screen. Unless I am wrong which I hope so I will try again.

Nope sorry no luck so same screen on recovery

I don't know about just formatting, but the database is done by like 8 sprx files iirc.

edit: they all start with mms, I believe.

Well, seems like my problem is not releated to cobra at all, i just reinstalled the HFW on the top of HFW and i got black screen till i manually turn off/on again hahah

I've noticed some issues with 4.91, and I'm on ofw, so I don't think it's hfw or cfw that's at fault.

So you're saying that Sony pushed degrading firmware? Dang.

I don't know, but I've noticed bugs with 4.91 ofw. I don't think sony cares much about the ps3 anymore, when most games people buy are used, due to no new games being produced. maybe they've gotten lazy as a result?

like I said, it's probably sony's fault. they've been trying to change like lv1, I think, to what it was several firmwares ago, and they keep swapping things, which is probably screwing something up. I think 4.91 came out last February, so expect an update very soon, unless sony has decided to give up on the ps3.

I don't think LV1 has changed since 4.60.. about HDD issue.. it could be related to RSOD fixes. Pinging @Evilnat .

perhaps it's lv2 then. I remember something had changed till like 4.89 or 4.90, then was reverted back, possibly causing problems, maybe, I guess.
