PS3 Building a new whole ps3 from scratch?

I know it is probably impossible, but did anyone try to build a ps3 from scratch? Could require a lot of knowledge of ps3 though. Might be years before that is possible maybe?

You could scavenge from useful parts of scrapped ps3 and build a working one, but as in building a NEW one, its kinda hard. Not likely

If You design exactly the same connections and provide the same timings, and with the same components (exactly the same Cell, RSX, SysCon, Flash) then You can have PS3 in different shape. But that's titanic work.
