PS3 Can i replace PS3 blu-ray drive with any other PS3's drive

Yes. Can i replace them? My PS3 fat 40GB(CECHJ04) model doesn't play dvd games or the games on the HDD. Which means %100 DVD drive is done. Or it would sometimes play the games on the hdd. I had the same problem in the past but never tried to fix it. Thanks.

If you're getting a black screen when you try to launch games on the HDD it's probably going to be a dead/dying daughterboard. Yes you can replace those but it will require CFW. Google (or search on here) "PS3 blu-ray remarry"
