PS2 can I use modchip and FHDB together ?!

Hi, So at the moment I'm using a fat 50001 model that uses FHDB through SSD.

I want to add modchip, specifically the infinity matrix genuine one and not a clone. To my PS2 that already using FHDB through SSD.

Will that work fine together or it will mess something up ?!

I think mod chips are not useful anymore. especially with 50k and later models that are mechapown compatible.
BTW, fhdb has several compatibility issues with mod chips.

To be precise, it is modchip which are incompatible with FHDB.

Even if you have problematic modchip (like one you intending to solder), there is a chance that will work with it FHDB older than 1.966 or FHDB run from PS2BBL (easy to setup via PS2HDH; HDD Exploiter script, options 1 then option 7-B).

They're only useful if you're going to play your burnt backups on a non-compatible MechaPwn unit. Modchips are only there for nostalgia.
