I have tried everything I can think of, and I have no idea what else can be wrong.
I recently put OPL v1.2.0 Beta on my old Matrix Infinity modded PS2, it previously had HDLoader since I had not used it in a long time, this means the HDD is still IDE and using the old APA formatting, not sure if that makes a difference here.
I tried setting OPL's network settings to automatic, and selected "Start NBD Server". I checked my router and my PS2 was identified as being on the network. I tried pinging it on Windows 10 and I got a response.
So then I tried HDL_Dumb, running as admin, but it just keeps telling me "Unknown Error". I tried OPL Manager as admin but it also gives me a "Network Communication Timeout" error when I attempt to test the connection.
I tried adding exceptions for HDL_Dump, HDL_Dumb, OPL Manager, and it's copy of HDL_Dump in Windows 10's firewall settings, nothing,
I tried manually setting my IP in OPL, and confirming again with both my router and pinging it that it's using the new IP.
I tried what was mentioned in "OPL network connection in windows 10" about setting my firewall to allow network discovery.
None of that made a difference, I just get the same errors with HDL_Dumb and OPL Manager.
Anyone have any idea what I can try or what I might be doing wrong?
