PS2 opl 310 no network connection

Good day I followed a in-depth tutorial on youtube to set up my memcard pro2.

When I open opl and try to do I network update I get a: 310 no network connection error

My question is how do I connect opl to the network? Can it use memcard pro 2's WiFi connection?

Because I do not have a Sony network adapter.

I'm running
opl v1.2.0-Beta-2216-bb415d
Memcard pro 2 Firmware Version: 1.4.1

As far as I know, it can only be used for wireless access (file transfer) to the memory card. This is not a Wi-Fi adapter.

For network connectivity, you will need a Sony Network Adapter or a Slimline Playstation 2.
