Can't see games in OPL.

Hello everyone.

So, I recently used my PS2 to format a 1TB HDD for the use of WinHiip to transfer games. It was 650GB of data. For some reason WinHiip would only read 130GB of the drive, then claiming it was full. I know it wasn't because the PS2 HDD manager reported a full 1TB partition had been created.

So, I reformatted the drive in WinHiip and transferred all of the games. I reattached it to the PS2 and loader OPL. The games wouldn't show up when pressing O to 'show games list'. However the games do show up in HDLoader.

I'd rather use OPL, can anyone help me as to why the games won't show up? I tried to use OPL manager but the HDD doesn't show up there after formatting it with the PS2 console.

Also I'd like to know if OPL manager can be used to transfer the ISO's to the HDD instead of WinHiip for both PS1 and PS2?

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

For a test you can install at least one game from a DVD disc using:
https://www.psx-place.com/resources/hdlgameinstaller-by-sp193.709/.
Additionally if you do not have a 3rd party Network Adaptor you can also do it via ETH port with this tool.

BTW in WinHIIP there is:
Win_HIIP_options-300x258.png

28bit HDLoader supports disks up to 133 GiB.
48bit HDLoader supports disks larger than 133 GiB.

Thank you for the reply.
I could try the DVD method for a test. I sti don't understand why when I used HDD Manager on FMCB WinHIIP would only read 130GB when the PS2 did show a full 930GB partition. I did use the 48bit method in WinHIIP as a result which made it read the full drive and transfer the games.

In order to test this out and try again I might have to reformat the drive which would erase all of the data and start again. That'll take a while.

Do you have an explanation as to why WinHIIP wouldn't read the full capacity of the HDD when formatted through HDD Manager?

Just try to install a game through the app that I gave you a link.

WinHIIP has not been updated for many, many years...
It may not support large disks correctly...

If you want to format your HDD, do it with wLaunchELF.

Instead of WinHIIP there are also other apps that can install a game e.g.
https://www.psx-place.com/resources/hdl-batch-installer.1173/.

Hello again.

I reformatted the drive using uLaunchELF and installed the games with the program you suggested and the games still won't show up in OPL. When I press Circle nothing happens.

EDIT. Had a facepalm moment. Just realised that the problem was that I hadn't set the HDD to auto boot in OPL.
Thank you for your help, and the program you suggested works much better than WinHIIP.
