CCAPI CFW 4.90?

as far as i can tell the last CCAPI release was on 06/04/22 for 4.21-4.89.
Untill a new version is released, what is the best way to play with it? would one best downngrade the system CFW to a compatable 4.89? or perhaps is the requirement to be on the correct firmware upon installing the .pkg file easily circumventable? I haven't seen any news related to whether a new version is in the works or planned, just curious on your guys' thoughts.

Its been a while so my bad if this is stupid to ask but will it be supported for DEX aswell soon?
and if not, what CEX2DEX settings do I need to revert back to cex if not all to use CCAPI?
