I wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction.
I have a CECH-04 That has been working great until yesterday when it just suddenly turned off and bleeped 3 times with a flashing red light.
I've had a look and found the PS6001 link Ic has blown, I've replaced it and its blew again.
any pointers to what might be causing the problem, or has anyone come across this before and repaired it., any help would be greatly appreciated.
I created a new thread a couple of days ago regarding an ylod CECH-04 console, it had a blown PS6001 Link IC protector for any help on repairing this, but it never made it into the public domain, and now seems to have been removed completely, because I can no longer see it?
Anyway, is had a Syscon error of A0022110, after replacing the PS6001 it blew again, so I then checked for shorts around the Q6001 and the IC6003 and nothing was showing as shorted, I then checked the capacitors C6116, C6117, C6118, C6217 and C6218 and they were all fine.
So, i decided to change the IC6003 and the Q6001 which has solved the problem, now i don't know if it was just one that was faulty or both, but it's now back up and running.
I though I would post this on here to document it, and I hope it may help someone else.
