PS3 CECHA No video/audio

Hi everyone! Long term luker here.

I got a CECHA-01 off of eBay, mostly to tinker with for fun.

It boots fine, green light stays on, I can insert disks etc, but there's no audio/video output whatsoever (neither HDMI or composite). I tried to reset the video configuration, changing cables, screens, nothing.

The console worked once when I got it, was able to boot a PS2 and a PS3 game, but when I tried the next day after it wasn't working anymore.

I think the console has been dropped, the bottom part of the shell has a crack, I inspected the top part of the main PCB and it looks fine, haven't looked at the bottom though.

Does anybody know what I can look into next?

You can check for error details on the syscon thread. But from what you say, it probably is only a bga issue. It will require a replacement of the soldering, at least on the RSX.
