PS3 CECHA: PS2 temperature issues/no proper fan control (SYSCON vs 40%)

Hi everyone,
I own a PS3 CECHA00, fully delidded and undervolted. The console is stable, but I'm having an issue with fan control while playing PS2 games.
In PS2 mode, I can only choose between:
  • SYSCON, or
  • 40% fan speed (the lowest available option in CFW 4.92.2 Evilnat).
The problem is that:
  • 40% is way too loud,
  • and at that level the temperatures drop to around 54°C, which in my opinion is overkill in the other direction,
  • while SYSCON keeps the fan too low, causing temperatures to rise to 72-73°C.
Ideally, I'd like to keep CELL and RSX around 67–68°C. For me, something like 28-30% fan speed would be the perfect balance, but unfortunately that option doesn't exist right now.
I don't want to do any hardware mods (soldering into SYSCON, etc.).
I already contacted Evilnat on X (Twitter) - he didn't reply, but he noticed my comment and gave it a like, so maybe he saw it, although I don't know if that will affect any future update.
I just want to comfortably and quietly enjoy my PS2 games, while still being sure that the console isn't overheating - that's why I'm posting here.
Does anyone know a workaround or possible solution?
I play from discs, and webMAN (as far as I remember) doesn't work in PS2 mode (LV2). Also, since CECHA doesn't emulate PS2, webMAN wouldn't have any effect anyway.
Thanks in advance for any helpful input.

Why dont you create your own syscon fan curve? Since you already undervolted it you must be familiar with its syscon

Basically its a set of strings you write bit by bit or as a batch for 0 (Cell) and 1 (RSX)

The fan curve becomes very smooth and you can set it up to your liking. Also this syscon fan curve will also work on ps2, Linux and other deep OS modes where webmanMOD or CFW fan control has no say in

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'd prefer to avoid SYSCON-level modifications. When I did the undervolting, I handed the console over to a friend, so I wasn't working directly with SYSCON myself.
I'm aware that creating a custom SYSCON fan curve is possible and that it works in PS2/Linux modes as well, but honestly I don't want to open the console again and solder into SYSCON.
In the worst case I know I could do it, however if there's any simpler or purely software-based workaround, I'd definitely prefer that. That's why I'm asking here.

As far as I know there isn't another option. CFW plugins (like webMAN) are unloaded when in PS2 mode so the only thing left to do is either manual speed all the time or SYSCON. At least that is how I understand it.
