Hello,
Noob here - So I purchased a FAT CECHC03 with what looks like a CFW based off of OFW 3.56 and is running Multiman 4.01 (dated 20/7/2011 - so well old). The unit came with plenty of games and most work fine, however, some of the more recent titles e.g. Alien Isolation and Alien Colonial Marines either give me a black screen or report error: 80010017 (which I think is to do with the firmware version).
I have checked the param.sfo files and they have been previously adjusted to version 03.55. I also tried using ESSSE Resigner v4.5.4 to resign the Eboot etc but this still generates the error.
The games are running from an external 1TB drive formatted to FAT32.
When I boot the machine it says the firmware version is 03.56 and when I load up multiman it says its version is 4.01 (Firmware 3.55 [SC-81 Hermes].)
Is there anything I can do to get these games to work? Is it worth/safe to install a more recent CFW like Ferrox for example? I installed IrisMan and Managuz managers but these either black screen or freeze when attempting to load a game.
Just wondering what my options are really.
